Blue Ridge Cohousing will have the following common meals in the
Common House:
- informal Saturday Brunch
- Sunday Dinner
- Wednesday potluck
All meals are optional. There will be a sign-up sheet for cooking and
cleaning for the Saturday and Sunday common meals. The norm will be
three cooks per meal and three cleaner uppers per meal. People who eat
are expected to cook and clean at some point as well.
Additionally, BRC will encourage four other options that community
members may do on an ad-hoc basis:
- dinner clubs
- potluck within nodes
- families taking turns inviting other families over for dinner
- families taking turns cooking and delivering meals for each other
Using these options, if they choose, people can have zero to 7+ shared
meals a week with different levels of formality.
