Blue Ridge Cohousing
Our property is in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains a short walk
from existing and planned shops and restaurants in the new urban
center of Crozet, Virginia. We are located 10 miles outside of
Charlottesville, Virginia - the home of Thomas Jefferson and the
University of Virginia. Charlottesville was ranked by USA Today in 2004
as the best place in the US to live out of the 331 cities ranked. This
college town has consistently been near the top of similar rankings.

Blue Ridge Cohousing features mountain views and private back yards
and includes wide front porches and an outdoor pool to foster an
outdoor culture and take advantage of Charlottesville's pleasant climate.

The large existing house, which includes a log cabin from the 1840s, a
sunroom and other additions, will become our common house.  We will
renovate the existing barn, shed, and aviary.

The
houses will be clustered to maximize the remaining natural and
recreational areas.
Plans for the shared areas include organic
gardens, playgrounds, and forest paths.
